Islamofascists...nothing changes.
Predictably, the enemy has struck again; this time it was mass transit in London. And once again the protectors of the peaceful religion of Islam have not rushed to the global microphone to decry what happened. A similarly strange silence has been noted from America's left who are still convinced that there isn't a War on Terror taking place at all. Instead, the mainstream press is concerned with what Karl Rove may or may not have said about someone who may or may not have been a covert agent for the CIA. Obviously what news producers and newspaper editors choose to report is not rooted in general importance, national security, etc; but rather in the same tired agenda of slandering a sitting President.
If you haven't been reading Victor Davis Hanson on a daily basis, you may want to think about reorganizing your schedule to allow time for it. No other pundit hits the nail on the head with such consistency on the issues at hand, primarily the global War on Terror. Instead most Americans listen to pedestrian analysis from Sean Hannity and wonder why they don't fully understand the workings of this most important battle for safety and security. Just because it was London this time doesn't mean it can't be New York next time. The complacency that has set in a mere week since 07/07 is staggering. Americans should be reacting with the same horror and conviction that we as a nation mustered up after 09/11. It is that very strain of apathy that will be our Achilles Heel in the end if the sleeping giant that recently awoke is allowed to fall back asleep.
